Materials for Energy and Sustainability

Research in this domain in the Materials program focuses on novel and unique materials for energy generation and storage and on superconducting materials, and environmentally degradable materials. Faculty in the program engineer new materials to reduce corrosion, destroy pathogens, create surfaces with specific thermal properties, support renewable energy technologies such as solar cells, and many others.
